Seven Viking sites in Norway to Gain World Heritage status

The Norwegian Directorate for Cultural Heritage recommends seven ship burial mounds for UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Norway’s Directorate for Cultural Heritage recommends that seven monumental ship burial mounds from the Viking Age be added to the country’s tentative list for UNESCO World Heritage status. The sites are described as the most important cultural environments from the Viking Age.
